Full Face Helmet - Motorcycles Are Cheaper On Gas

By: John Daniele

Motorcycles never have been known for their safety. Any vehicle has its risks though. Often times the operators of cars are not watchful enough of the cycle riders. Both the motorcyclist and the car driver need to watch for each other. The cycle rider should keep their lights on rain or shine and remember always to wear their helmets just to be careful.

To be safe there are a few things you will need to get. Start with some kind of helmet the one that is the most protective is the full-face helmet. Then there are the items that are often called leathers which is simply put the jacket and pants made of leather but also these days it could be Kevlar used. You will also need some gloves and some boots. All of these things together keep either your head protected somewhat from road burns or worse.

Automobiles and bikes can both have an appealing appearance Automobiles are sometimes built so tank like that they loose their appeal visually. The sports models though of cars are even alluring at times. It is all about what kind, color, and model you buy. It goes the same where cycles are concerned except for the fact that the rider is totally exposed on a cycle.

The full body of the rider is totally seen when on motorcycles. With everyone decked out in helmets and special clothing male and female alike notice not only the rider but the cycle too. The lady riders do tend to get a bit more attention when riding. I wonder why? The ladies are also respected for learning how to operate a cycle efficiently.

Cars really can consume a bunch of gas in a trip. Around here gas has now hit $4.00 a gallon on regular so this is a bit of a concern. People are having to give up activities to afford gas in their cars. Some people are even having to sell items that they would rather not to make ends meet.

The fuel consumption for cycles is unbelievably reasonable. Due to a cycle being more aerodynamically designed it moves down the road with less resistance. This causes the cycle to use less gas. Sometimes the motorcyclist will have to fill up more often due to smaller gas tanks so bikers feel they use more gas than a car but this is not so. Mileage truly is better with a cycle.

The biggest thing that cars and cycles don't have in common is price. The cost of cars is much higher than cycles. Even you buy a clunker in a car for a few hundred dollars chances are you are going to have to put thousands into it to get it fixed. Even the price of a new air conditioning unit for the car could be what a motorcycle would cost. With even cars that are brand spanking new you may have to do work on them. There are those emissions tests, brakes that need to be replaced, and front end alignments that cost a pretty penny. Heck did you know that a car loses almost one third of its value just coming off the lot. You can afford all your gear along with your helmet plus for the cycle for less than the money used for fixing the car.

A bike plus helmet, jacket, boots, pants and gloves comes at not a low price but definitely lower than a car. Cycles that previously owned can be purchased for a mere $300.00. The lower amount of gas you use coupled with the low price of cycles makes them a great deal.
